Marine insurance - Effect of F C & S Clause on cargo claim under policy

Commodities Reserve (the plaintiffs) sub-chartered the vessel West Lion for the carriage of a cargo of chickpeas and cumin seeds from Turkey to Venezuela. The cargo was insured under the provisions of a 1983 Ocean Maritine Open Cargo Policy issued by St. Paul (the defendant).
