The plaintiff entered into a contract with Todd Shipyards Corporation for the construction of a floating drydock. The contract
called for the plaintiff to deliver the drydock by 27 May 1982, and provided for payment of liquidated damages at the rate
of £5,300 per day if the drydock was delivered after the contract date.
