Limitation of liability - Interpretation of £100 “gold value” per package in Hague Rules

This was an appeal from the decision of Yeldham J. in which he had held that the limitation sum in Article IV, rule 5 of the Hague Rules of £100 was, in accordance with the reference to “gold value” in Article IX of the Hague Rules, £100 gold value at present prices.
