De Bry v. Fitzgerald - Court of Appeal (Lord Donaldson of Lymington M.R., Dillon and Staughton L.JJ.) - 1 November 1988

Security for costs refused against French plaintiff - Judgment could easily and cheaply be enforced in France

The plaintiff, who was resident in France, claimed damages from the defendants for breach of a contract relating to a Michelangelo sculpture. The sculpture was lodged in a London bank to the order of both parties jointly until judgment in the action.
