Action S.A. v. Britannic Shipping Corporation Ltd. (The Aegis Britannic) - Q.B.D. (Com.Ct.) (Staughton J.) - 7 June 1985

Cesser clause - Whether charterers liable for stevedores’ negligence at discharge port

The vessel Aegis Britannic was chartered to carry a cargo of rice in bags from the U.S. Gulf to Basrah. When the cargo was discharged some of it was damaged. The receivers claimed against the owners in the Administrative Court of Basrah. They obtained judgment.
