Estoppel by convention - Shared mistake - Mistake initiated by party seeking to raise the estoppel

The plaintiff shippers shipped vehicles from Bremen to Durban in the defendant carrier’s vessel. The shippers’ agents kept a stock of the carrier’s blank bill of lading forms. The carriers introduced a new version of their bill of lading. The old version gave exclusive jurisdiction to the High Court in London. The new version stipulated for arbitration in London or at a venue chosen by the carrier.
