Short delivery of oil cargo - Court’s discretion to order surveyor to take bunker samples

The Admiralty judge has given guidance on how the Court will exercise its discretion in deciding whether to permit a surveyor to board a vessel to inspect and take samples where there is an allegation of short delivery of oil cargo. The relevant Rules of the Supreme Court are Order 75, rule 28, and Order 29, rule 3.
