Leave to appeal to Court of Appeal - Certificate under section 1(7), Arbitration Act 1979

Section 1(7) of the Arbitration Act 1979 provides that where a judge of the High Court has heard an appeal from an arbitration award and has made a decision on the merits, no appeal shall lie to the Court of Appeal unless inter alia the High Court certifies that the point involves a question of law of general public importance or is one which for some other special reason should be considered by the Court of Appeal.
