Application to vary a Mareva injunction refused - No evidence that assets subject to the injunction were defendants’ total assets in jurisdiction

A Mareva injunction had been granted earlier in respect of the defendants’ assets (see Issue No. 12 LMLN). The defendants, invoking The Angel Bell [1980] 1 Lloyd’s Rep. 632, principle, now sought an order varying the injunction to permit payment from the assets of £65,000 in order to pay legal costs likely to be incurred in the pending proceedings.
