Priorities - Proceeds from sale of mortgaged vessel - Costs of discharging cargo
In April 1978
Jogoo
was sold to Eastern Africa National Shipping Line Ltd. 10 per cent of the purchase price was paid in cash on delivery of the
vessel. The remainder was payable over seven years and secured by a first and second mortgage on the vessel. In February 1980
she was arrested in Newport by HB who claimed that the owners were indebted to them in respect of goods supplied to the vessel
for her maintenance and upkeep.
