Washington votes in favour of flood cover reform

FLOOD insurance reform has been passed in the US, at a time when north-eastern states are recovering from flash flooding caused by record-breaking rainfall. The House of Representatives voted by 416 to four in favour of approving the Flood Insurance Reform and Modernization Act of 2006 (Firm) this week.
