Atrium increases profit forecasts

LLOYD’S insurer Atrium has increased its syndicate profit forecasts, and sees new opportunities following hurricane Katrina. Atrium Underwriting has forecast improved profits for the two syndicates it manages. Syndicates 570 and 609 are forecast to produce combined returns of 16.2% to 21.2% for the 2003 year of account compared with the previous forecast of 13.7%-18.7%.
