Kentucky scraps medical information requirement

THE American Insurance Association (AIA) has urged other states to follow in the footsteps of Kentucky and discontinue reporting medical claim information. The Kentucky’s Office of Workers’ Claim (OWC) has scrapped the need for insurers to report medical claim information, claiming the information is unnecessary. The AIA claimed the information went unused by OWC, and that the cost of the practice resulted in higher premiums for policyholders.
