Arbitration award ordered charterers to pay $35,330 balance of account to owners and ordered charterers to pay the owners the costs of the award - In fact, the tribunal had made an error in that the balance payable by charterers was only $15,119 - Tribunal corrected balance payable by charterers and made a different award of costs to reflect the lower amount recovered by owners

Shipowners brought arbitration proceedings against charterers in respect of demurrage at both discharge ports (Conakry and Banjul). $132,562 was claimed at Conakry and $185,243 at Banjul. The charterers had made various payments such that whilst the owners' total claims on the balance of account amounted to $261,768, the charterers denied liability and contended that they were due $34,592.
