Vessel launched in 1983 but not delivered to first owner until 1986 - Issue arising as to date vessel “built” within meaning of charterparty - Whether vessel built in 1983 or 1986

The vessel was chartered on an amended NYPE form for a period of about 10/about 12 months time charter in direct continuation from a previous charterparty between the same parties dated 26 January 1999. The vessel was described in the charterparty as being “…. built 1986”.
