Insurers to pay over half of WTC benefit payments

INSURERS will pay more than half of the $38.1bn in benefits resulting from the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center,
according to a new study in the US by the Rand Institute of Social Justice. And the report warns that insurers’ widespread
withdrawal of terrorism cover from standard policies raises questions about where payment would come from to meet the economic
losses of any future terror attack.
