The barge Patricia Sheridan (‘the vessel’) was chartered on the Coastvoy form dated 25 July 1995 for the carriage of stabilised dredge spoils from Staten Island, New York to Corpus Christi, Texas. The issue centred around liability for the consequences of the listing condition and intentional grounding of the vessel off Charleston, South Carolina on 12 October 1995.
