China set for surge in business growth

THE prospects for China’s life and property/casualty (p/c) insurance sectors are for strong growth, according to rating agency Moody’s. Economic growth, deregulation and growing competition are encouraging demand and product expansion in China, and the entrance of foreign insurers will force domestic insurers to bring their own operations in line with global standards, said Moody’s.
