Cincinnati Financial urges SEC to let it keep its insurer status

US insurer Cincinnati Financial has urged the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) not to force it to change its status
to investment company under the terms of the Investment Company Act 1940, writes Richard Banks. The Ohio insurer, which writes
through Cincinnati Insurance, Cincinnati Indemnity and Cincinnati Casualty, was acting after encountering what it called "some
uncertainty regarding the status of Cincinnati Financial Corporation under the act.
