Another fat cat gets the cream
THE news that Royal & SunAlliance chief Andy Haste has picked up £1.4m ($2.5m) for nine months’ work has prompted ire from
some quarters as the issue of "fat cats’ pay" raised its ugly head again this week. The revelation that Mr Haste’s £600,000
basic salary had been augmented with compensation payments, bonuses and pensions contributions came days after the UK’s biggest
insurer, Aviva, fended off angry questions from its shareholders.
