Hannover Re downgraded

AM Best has downgraded the financial strength ratings of Hannover Re to A from A+. At the same time the financial strength rating of HDI Reinsurance Ireland Ltd has also been downgraded to A (excellent) from A+ (Superior), but remains under review with negative implications while AM Best further evaluates the company’s strategic position within the Hannover Re group.
