US call for workers’ comp reform

US INSURERS have urged the authorities with responsibility for reforming the Californian workers’ compensation system to consider a radical overhaul, writes Richard Banks. A bipartisan legislative conference committee has been established to examine the current system and suggest ways of controlling the soaring workers’ compensation rates, but the American Insurance Association has called for there to be a ground-up review.
