XL Capital

BERMUDA-based insurance and reinsurance provider XL Capital has announced that DON BAKER will now lead its subsidiary XL Insurance (Bermuda). He will assume management responsiblity for its Bermuda insurance operations, taking the role of executive vice-president. He will also serve XL’s commercial large account insurance business known as XL Insurance Global Risk. As director of global programmes for this unit, he will administer XL’s global network for multinational clients. He joins from Zurich International, where he was chief executive for the Bermuda branch. He will bring nearly 20 years of experience in the Bermuda insurance market, having begun his career with Marsh & McLennan.
