White Mountains files $2bn shelf

BERMUDIAN insurance group White Mountains has filed a universal shelf registration with the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) to issue up to $2bn of equity and debt securities. White Mountains also registered with the SEC the possible future sales of up to 677,966 shares by clients of Franklin Mutual Advisers and 84,745 shares by clients of Highfields Capital Management.
