Countries shun EU deadline to end state war risk cover

SEVEN European Union (EU) countries, including France and Germany, will continue to provide war risk guarantees to their aviation industries for at least a month after the EU deadline. The group that has applied for extensions of between one and three months to the EU’s competition authorities flouting the recommendation given by the EU to end state cover on October 31 also includes Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy and Spain.
