Japanese insurers plan “shinkins” co-operation

Japan‘s largest non-life insurance company, Tokio Marine & Fire, and mid-sized property/casualty insurer, Kyoei Mutual Fire
& Marine, are to co-operate in developing policies aimed at customers of “shinkin banks”, the Japanese counterparts of US
savings and loans firms.
