WTW confirms re-entry into treaty reinsurance broking Global broking group WTW will re-enter the treaty reinsurance broking market through a joint venture with US private investment firm Bain Capital. The re-entry, which was confirmed at WTW’s investor day, will be through a new company in which the broker will have a minority stake. "This new company will combine WTW's rich history, leading global network and expertise in insurance broking, consulting and technology with Bain Capital's scaled team of insurance industry experts and proven track record of building and growing innovative insurance businesses across the value chain," WTW chief executive, Carl Hess, said.
