Alleged negligence and failure to refer to a colorectal surgeon

Deakin-Stephenson v Behar and Another [2024] EWHC 2338 (KB)

The claimant in the case outlined below made a number of allegations about the care she had received in a hospital for which the second defendant was responsible. The claimant made allegations about the treatment she had received under the care of Mr Behar, a consultant laparoscopic and emergency surgeon, which she was unable to substantiate, and which had led the judge to comment that the weight of evidence was "not necessarily judged by head count".
