Settlement of claims

15.1 Introduction

In Chapter 14, “The making of a claim,” of this book, we discussed the conditions and procedures for making a claim. Once the insured has submitted a claim, together with relevant evidence and documents, to the insurers, the insurers must then deal with the claim in the manner required by the Insurance Law and the insurance contract.
