New Regulations issued in the People’s Republic of China Governing Foreign-funded Banks

New regulations governing foreign banks in China were issued by the China Banking Regulation Commission (CBRC) in November 2006. The changes take effect from 11 December, 2006. Four categories of banks are covered in these guidelines:
