Munich Re Group

Many of the group’s key financial figures indicate that the five year process of consolidation and the restructuring of its risk profile is now pretty much completed and that the Munich Re Group is looking to re-expand the scope of its operations

Setting aside the sheer scale of its operations, the performance of the Munich Re Group in 2006 was much like that of a great many other global insurance and reinsurance groups. Due to a much improved premium rating environment and the absence of significant catastrophe losses, Munich Re posted a record net profit result.
