It is with great sadness that WIR reports the death of its India correspondent, Mr Har Govind, who covered the Indian insurance market for WIR between 2000 and 2007. Mr Govind, 83, contributed to several publications in the years following his retirement from a distinguished career in the Indian civil service. He retired in 1982 as chief commissioner of income tax in New Delhi, one of only four Chief Commissioners in India.
