Generali’s India joint venture awarded operating licence

The Italian insurer has teamed up with retailer Future Group to house life and general insurance businesses based in Mumbai

Assicurazioni Generali has been granted licences to operate life and non-life insurance companies in India. The Italian company will trade as Future Generali India Life Insurance Company, and Future Generali India Insurance Company, joint ventures with one of the country’s main retailers, the Future Group of India.
