The European Parliament’s rules on confidentiality may apply only to information presented by members or by parliamentary staff

The European Parliament’s rules on confidentiality are under scrutiny after it emerged that information given to the Parliament in support of a 1997 petition signed by a bankrupted Lloyd’s Name must be disclosed to the British courts.
