Japanese earthquake insurance contracts exceed 10 million

The Non-Life Insurance Rating Organization of Japan (NLIRO) announced on March 13 that the number of contracts in force for the Earthquake Insurance on Dwelling Risks increased by 11.1% over the previous year and in December 2005 exceeded the 10 million mark for the first time since its initiation.
