Leading emerging biological risks identified

The European Risk Observatory, part of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, has produced a report which identifies emerging biological risks that are most likely to affect workers in the EU. The report said that farmers, healthcare workers or people in evolving industries such as waste treatment are particularly at risk. It added that communicable diseases such as SARS, avian flu or Dengue are of increasing concern.
