Periodical payment reduced for state funding

When assessing the damages of a man left as a quadriplegic after a road accident, the court considered whether periodical payments were appropriate for some or all of his claim and whether there should be any reduction in his claim for future care to take account of the funding which he received, and would continue to receive from his local authority and primary care trust (PCT).
