Vehicle accident at work

A driver has received £115,477 in compensation following an accident at work. He sustained injuries when his vehicle turned into a ditch as a result of a defect on the road surface. The Local Authority had not applied hard core beneath the tarmac surface of the road and his vehicle slid down a bank causing him to suffer injury to his neck and back. He was unable to continue at work and his employment was terminated on medical grounds. He had worked for a brewery for 30 years.
