Cyclist wins £61,000 in damages

A cyclist who was knocked off his bike by a council minibus has been awarded £61,000 in damages. The man submitted medical evidence that his hip joint had been loosened by the impact and that the damage had got worse. The court heard that the cyclist had been fit and active prior to the accident, cycling around 14 miles each day.
