Settlement for injury caused by adapted tool

A man has received £22,500 in an out-of-court settlement from his employer after sustaining an injury, which convinced him he was going to die. The man lacerated his abdomen and small bowel whilst undertaking subcontract work as a joiner for a shop fitting firm. His employer accepted 75% liability for the incident.
