UK’s first tobacco damages case

The widow of a lung cancer victim is finally taking Imperial Tobacco to court for damages. The case originally began in 1993 but the man died before it was completed. His widow claims that he was never warned of the dangers of smoking. He began smoking in 1964. It is the first time that a damages case has been brought against a tobacco company in the UK.
