Health scare affects HRT use

Research has found that 58% of women stopped taking Hormone Replacement Therapy after the media reported on trials showing it increased the risk of breast cancer. The research, reported in a number of papers, found that 18% began taking HRT again after the media health scare, but 40% did not take up treatment again.
