Cost of future care calculations

Personal injury claimants could not try to show that the cost of their future care would increase at a much steeper rate than general inflation. If they did, it would amount to an illegitimate attempt to subvert the discount rate set by the Lord Chancellor as the rate of interest to be applied when assessing future loss.
