Dome performer’s award
An aerial performer who was seriously injured when she fell from a harness whilst performing at the Millennium Dome has been
awarded £510,000 in compensation, the largest award to a performer for injury. The performer, who was also a successful dancer
and model, fell 20 feet onto concrete, smashing her feet, pelvis, spine and wrist, and effectively ending her career. Her
employers admitted liability. The performers’ union Equity negotiated the compensation.
