AMLA: Towards European convergence on tackling financial crime

The European Union's Authority for Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AMLA) is facing challenges as it works towards the 10 July 2027 launch of the single AML rulebook, under Regulation (EU) 2024/1624. 1 The key will be eliminating existing divergences in AML/CFT/CFP rules and practices across the bloc's 27 member states, AMLA chair Bruna Szego told MLB in an exclusive interview.
