Reporting needs to guide decisions

Digital platform OneLink Performance is urging shipowners, operators and technical managers to rethink the role of maritime dashboards, arguing that reporting should guide decisions and prove business impact, not simply visualise data. Maritime organisations now draw information from vessel sensors, noon reports, voyage systems, weather services, engine-monitoring platforms and commercial management tools. However, more data does not automatically improve performance. OneLink highlights that the gap arises when dashboards describe what has happened without showing teams what to do next or what value their actions have created.
