No minor offence: court extends US forfeiture reach on Iranian oil

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has upheld judgment on the pleadings for the civil forfeiture of more than 700,000 barrels of Iranian crude oil seized from two tankers in the Mediterranean on a novel terrorism forfeiture theory.
