A cargo of Iraqi SOMO (State Oil Marketing Organisation) Basrah Pipeline High-Sulphur Straight-Run Fuel Oil (SRFO) was sold by the defendant, Onex, to the claimant, Mercuria, by a contract on CIF terms. Delivery was to be on the US Gulf Coast. The cargo was resold to Valero.
