4.1 Period off-hire clauses

Net time loss off-hire and period off-hire clauses are the two main off-hire clauses; there are conflicts if the charterparty contains a net time loss off-hire clause in the main terms but contains a period off-hire clause in the rider clause. Unlike the net time loss off-hire clause, under a period off-hire clause, the vessel would be off-hire since full working of the vessel is prevented until the full working of the vessel is resumed.
