Accidents

An accident is something that happens out of the ordinary course of things, an unforeseen or unplanned event or circumstance. It tends to be characterized by unexpected, fortuitous events, resulting in damage or delay. If the vessel suffers an accident to her cargo or to the vessel, the charterers may rely on an off-hire clause to reclaim their loss.
